Dr. Sudip Singha

Dr Singha has a PhD in Japanese from Visva-Bharati and holds the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 & a diploma in Russian. He is a recipient of JENESYS, the Japan Government. Scholarship (MEXT); JASSO Scholarship from Japan and NET‑JRF, UGC. His area of interest broadly includes Contrastive Linguistics, Translation Studies and Literature. He has authored one book, consisting of a Bengali translation of ten Japanese short stories, research articles in national and international journals and has also translated chapters in literary journals, co-translated for Japanese documentaries, and given paper presentations at conferences/seminars. Before joining the University of Delhi, I worked as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Japanese (Nippon Bhavana), Bhasha-Bhavana, Visva‑Bharati.
